I became familiar with the artist, MInoy, in about 1986 when he sent me a tape out of the blue for my radio show. Not long after, my friend Jack Jordan gave me this tape as a gift. This was during the peak of Minoy’s creative powers and output, the mid-late 1980s. He issued over a hundred tapes and in fact, I’m not sure anyone knows how many he actually created. Even after his death a whole bunch of things were discovered.

This particular cassette was a very special treat to me. Not only was it an absolute monster of drone and electronic orgy but the cover had been handmade by Minoy and in addition to his trademark coloring and penmanship he had coated the tape shell with some type of frosted material. This one is a very tactile experience and is one of my favorite tapes of all time.
