Nick was the musical moniker of Dennis J. Baldwin, a home taper who hailed from Linton, Indiana. During his heyday Nick was active in his solo recordings and also teamed up to collaborate with others like Tom Burris and Zan Hoffman ( and yours truly Don Campau). His sound was sort of lo fi but his home taping chops were smart and sharp. Using the typical arsenal of drum machine, keys, vocals and guitar he carved out a neat singular vision from his Big Baby studios. He was also involved in the mail art scene and even curated some projects including LEVEL 10 ( which myself and other home tapers chipped in for ).
