    early experiences

    Andrew Szava-Kovats

    By Don Campau | 27 October 2011

In addition to cassettes with his band, Data-Bank-A, and Parade Of Sinners, Andrew also produced compilation LPs of home recording electronic artists.

It was 1984, and I had just released my first 7” vinyl EP. I was so excited to get it “out there” that I went right down to my local independent record shop and asked the owner if he was willing to take it on consignment. When he said “yes” I was on cloud nine! This was going to be the beginning of my new career as a record producer and label! It took a few months for reality to bring me back down to earth. But it was a real High while it lasted.
