The Psyclones were Brian Ladd and Julie Frith of Northern California. Their brand of psych rock was (as I understand it) all improvised live to tape, no overdubs. They released many albums on various international, underground labels. For a more complete list of material go here

My first tape trade was with George Smith of CHAINSAW TAPES. He put out compilation cassettes that featured bands like his own Senseless Hate (Guns) and Smersh. I liked the trade and it opened many doors for sure, but my favorite part of the whole thing was hearing SENSELESS HATE do “Brooke Shields”. It’s a classic, no doubt.
