    Daniele Brusaschetto

    By Don Campau | 16 October 2011

In my opinion, Italian Daniele Brusaschetto is one of the great home recording musicians of Europe. He has worked in many styles from experimental sound, drum ‘n bass, progressive rock to crooning acoustic ballads. In fact, he operates much of the time in his own universe. Not speaking Italian I do not know the lyrical content but I do know that he is consistently engaging and interesting to listen to.

I can’t remember what was my very first trade. I still have almost all the packages and letters I received during the years archived in a large cardboard box, almost all in chronological order. To stay true to historic memory and to relive the past I went digging through that box.

The first mailings happened between 1995 and 1996.

The first things I see are M.Nomized and Eric Boros. With the former, well noted veteran of the experimental underground, I traded a lot of audio material and later we collaborated on several compilations. Eric, founding member of Vialka, at that time played noise with the pseudonym Hermit and ran a tape label called Pulp Mill. It was wonderful to discover by hand an underground circuit of global dimensions dedicated to personal music without compromises. Finally, the need of “belonging” could be satisfied.

ho ancora quasi tutti i pacchetti postali e lettere ricevuti negli
