Debbie Jaffe's solo project was (and is) called Master/ Slave Relationship. As provocative as the name, she seethed sexual energy and hard hitting rhythms which suggested the power of the whip. In the 1980s she and Hal McGee started the Cause And Effect label in Indianapolis and had a group called Viscera. She continues her work today.

The most memorable tape trade was with a small underground label in Colorado called AEON back in 1983 or so. Hal and I were recording as Viscera and sent out a copy to Kent (the owner of Aeon), not really expecting an answer back, and to our surprise he loved it and wanted a bunch of copies! We were elated that someone thought our insane musical work was worthy of consideration and that it appealed to someone other than ourselves. Quite a rush! From that point we began trading with countless other underground artists from around the world and started our cassette-only label Cause And Effect.
