    Greg Stomberg

    By Don Campau | 27 October 2011

Based in Missouri, Greg Stomberg has produced home recorded tapes with such projects as Syberite, Space Ocean and also his opera, “Adam G-214:2073 A.D.” On this oft revised work he gets other home tapers to contribute songs relating to the theme of social ambivalence, loneliness and some kind of dystopian future, I guess. Micky Saunders, Dan Susnara, Syberite, Charles Rice Goff, Ken Clinger, myself and others send tracks. Greg has also produced volumes of Beatles songs as covered by various home tapers.

i bought my first zine in 1990 in a comic book store, i was amazed at all the home tapers and wanted to have them all record songs that i wrote, but i decided to write to each one asking them if they had recorded beatle songs that i could add to my collection, so every weekend i wrote to five people so that everyday someone would get a letter from me, i bought every zine i could find and wrote to hundreds of people every year, amassing a great collection of underground beatle songs,, then i started asking them to record a song of mine if they could, i met great indie artists like micky saunders, dan susnara, ken clinger and even don campau this way, it’s been a beautiful ride.
